Welcome to the Parish Church of St Bridget and St Cwyfan in Dyserth, Denbighshire. Dyserth is a pretty village, situated between Rhyl and Prestatyn near the North Wales coast. We are part of the Church in Wales in the Byrn a Môr Mission Area which is part of the Diocese of St Asaph. There has been a Christian presence in this village since the 6th Century, When we believe the Celtic Monk Cwyfan founded a place of worship near the famous Dyserth Waterfall. Later on the Church became dedicated to St Bridget of Kildare. The fact that there has been an unbroken Christian witness here for nearly 1500 years makes our small Parish Church very Special to us, and to the many visitors who come to see the famous Jesse Window, dating from the 16th Century, our Church building is a Grade 2* listed building. We are a small but lively, friendly and welcoming Parish, who try to follow in the steps of our patron saints, Bridget and Cwyfan, by proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ and holding firm to the faith of the Church. At the centre of our worshipping life is the Eucharist, where we are strengthened on our earthly pilgrimage by the Sacrament of Christ’s Body and Blood.
